A cross-border project to develop an innovative and environmentally friendly seawater air conditioning solution for the Channel

Drawing on the complementary expertise of 11 partners from the academic and industrial fields, the EuroSwac project will adapt a SWAC (seawater air conditioning) technology to the salty waters of the English Channel, which to date has been used mainly at a few sites in tropical areas and in the Mediterranean. Continental SWAC is expected to bring major benefits in terms of reducing CO2 emissions, land use, operating costs and energy bills for end-users.
